Curb work goes wrong when it is treated in isolation. A new section poured without checking the sidewalk grade behind it or the apron beside it leaves a lip, a puddle, or a mismatched reveal that someone will complain about.
We look at the whole frontage, then pour once. Whenever the apron and the curb both need attention, we do them together rather than billing two mobilizations.
Brooklyn commercial corridors take constant delivery traffic, and residential avenues take plow blades all winter. We pour with DOT-approved mixes, proper depth, and a compacted base so the curb resists impact rather than spalling the first time a truck tire rides up on it.
Bluestone and Belgian block curbs remain in place across many older Brooklyn blocks, and in designated historic districts the material and appearance of street-facing work can be subject to review. Replacing a bluestone curb with plain concrete is often the wrong answer.
